Head Instructor - Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
Dave Trader
- Dave begin training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 1996 with Leo Dalla receiving his blue belt and competing in several major tournaments before Dalla returned to Brazil. Dave
continue his training with fellow Dalla student Lloyd Irvin, eventually receiving both his purple and brown belts from Lloyd as well as notching a number of tournament victories
in both Brazilian Jiu-jitsu and Judo. Following some time off due to injury, Dave returned to training with Dalla and was awarded his blackbelt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu in 2005.
Dave is known for possessing an extremely well rounded ground game consisting of excellent throws and takedowns, tremendous pressure when on top, slick submissions from
the bottom and a nearly unpassable guard.

Dave combines his technical expertise in jiu-jitsu with a passion for teaching both beginners and advanced students and is quickly becoming recognized for his ability to develop championship caliber competitors. Armed with a complete understanding of jiu-jitsu fundamentals as well as a thorough understanding of more advanced techniques, tournament strategies, and tournament preparation, Dave can provide anyone with exactly what they need whether their goal is to win at the highest level of competition or to just improve their game. Dave is available for Personal Training by appointment.

Michelle Welti - Michelle began training jiu-jitsu with Team Dave Trader in 2007 and has developed into an excellent
competitor. She is one of the most active female competitors on the local, regional, and national tournament circuits. Always in the medal mix, Michelle recently
demonstrated why she is one of the most promising American female grapplers by winning the Women's Advanced Absolute Division at GrapplersQuest World Series of Grappling. Look
for Michelle to make her mark internationally in 2011.

Andrew Babeu - Andrew began training with Team Dave Trader in October of 2009 and soon discovered a passion for both Jiu-Jitsu and Judo. Hard work and perseverance have helped form him into a rising talent on the competitive grappling circuit. At only 17, Andrew competes at nearly every opportunity in both teen and adult divisions, often bringing home handfuls medals at a time. Andrew recently demonstrated just what a bright future he has ahead, winning the Teens Advanced Heavyweight Division at Grapplers Quest World Series of Grappling.

As the assistant Kids Jiu-Jitsu instructor, Andrew enjoys passing the techniques and lessons he has learned on to his younger teammates.
Personal Trainer - Strength & Conditioning Coach
Josh Wehrmann - Josh Wehrmann - Josh has been working and training in the strength and fitness industry for over 12 years and in that time has logged over 10,000 hours
of one-on-one personal training sessions. Josh believes that a strength and conditioning approach works exceptionally well for all clients. He has successfully trained and
achieved superior results with men, women, seniors, teens, and athletes of all levels and ages.
Besides his strength and conditioning experience, Josh is a nationally recognized Nutritionist and has seven years of experience helping clients achieve their weight loss goals.
Josh is nationally certified through the American Counsel on Exercise, and the National Personal Training Institute, has a degree in Kinesiology with a concentration on
Exercise Physiology and is a Certified Strength Specialist.
After starting in athletics with football, track and field, and weightlifting clubs, Josh has spent time as a collegiate athlete, trainer, coach, facility owner, a competitive
powerlifter/strongman, and most recently as a member of Team Dave Trader Jiu-Jitsu where he has started to develop a name for himself as a frequent and imposing competitor. Josh
has leveraged his passion for jiu-jitsu and his passion as a Strength and Conditioning Coach to develop workout programs that bring his challenging style of training to anyone
from, professional athletes, UFC veterans, competitive amatuers, weekends warriors, and those simply looking to get in shape or stay that way.
Personal Training sessions with Josh can be performed on the main floor of our 20,000 square foot facility, on our top of the line MedX equipment in our state of the art private
training room, or, on nicer days, outside using a myriad of implements and devices that will get you in the greatest shape of your life.
